KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS AT BEACH ALLEN PRIMARY EXPLORE “CELEBRATIONS” THEME WITH WEDDING ROLE-PLAY ACTIVITY

Basseterre, St. Kitts, Thursday, February 26, 2026: The Kindergarten class of Beach Allen Primary School brought learning to life with a delightful and creative wedding-themed activity as part of the implementation of the Ministry of Education’s New Enhanced Curriculum on Thursday, February 26.

The activity formed part of the theme Celebrations in the Kindergarten Curriculum, which encourages teachers and students to explore and understand various types of social and cultural events. Through this hands-on experience, the students were introduced to the concept of weddings as an important celebration that brings families and communities together.

The activity was designed to help students build social skills, develop vocabulary, and better understand real-life events in a fun and meaningful way. By participating in role-play, students practiced communication, cooperation, and confidence while learning about wedding traditions.

The wedding activity is one of several interactive strategies used to deliver the Enhanced Curriculum, which emphasizes experiential learning and student engagement. Teachers at Beach Allen Primary School continue to embrace creative approaches to ensure that students are not only meeting academic goals but are also developing socially and emotionally.
